Our president, Brian Barton, worked for the largest pest control company in Canada for 15 years prior to starting his own business. His reason was simple – Brian recognized the need for a more effective method of bed bug extermination. Bed Bug Detectives pioneered canine bed bug detection in Atlantic Canada in 2009 as an alternative to traditional pest control methods. In 2017 we introduced the most effective tool available in the pest control industry to eradicate bed bugs – thermal remediation.
Our licensed team of experts have performed thousands of canine inspections and chemical-free bed bug treatments with outstanding success. We follow an IPM (Integrated Pest Management – an effective and environmentally sensitive method of pest management that relies on a combination of pest control practices) approach when customizing our treatment plans.
We work very closely with our clients when dealing with their problem. We are as passionate about educating our clients as we are about getting rid of their bugs. Education allows clients be better informed, while at the same time helps to ensure they never have to deal with the problem again in the future.
